    Exhuast/Intake/Intercooler Combo's

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Three things I'm looking to change on my stock B7:

    1.) Exhaust for better airflow.
    2.) Intake (see above).
    3.) FMIC for lower temps.

Anyone care to voice their opinions about good combinations of products to use for these three mods? or what not to use?

...Its getting too cold in KC to do any of this work right now, but I figure I'll start my 4 months of research. (After changing calipers & brake pads last January in CT I learned my lesson) I'll get to work on it in March.

    Re: Exhuast/Intake/Intercooler Combo's

This is a touchy subject but I would go:

    1.)Milltek or Cargraphic

    2.)Carbonio

    3.) AWE
    -Unitronics Stage 2+ ECU/TCU tune.
    -EI AL CAI.
    -Driver Mod.

    Re: Exhuast/Intake/Intercooler Combo's

I would say that I agree with options 2 and 3.

HID, why would you say Milltek or Cargraphic over say AWE?

AWE is an awesome exhaust, but its a bit on the loud side for me.

I like my APR exhaust, nice deep tone.

    I agree with options 2 & 3 as well.

Understandable. I liked the AWE exhaust cause it was a little louder. I thought it had a nicer tone than the APR too.

    Re: Exhuast/Intake/Intercooler Combo's

I personally love my AWE exhaust. any aftermarket exhaust is going to give you a louder sound. I feel the drone has gone way down, or maybe i got use to it. I gave a salesperson a drive and he didn't think it was bad at all. But FMIC=AWE all the way
    The usual things!!

I haven't heard any of the exhausts in person, but when I did hear them on the internet, I would have to say the AWE sounded the best. APR exhaust just wasn't loud enough for me. The AWE exhaust sounded nice and deep.

    FIRST i would look into
    1. chip (revo)
    2. chip (apr)
    3. chip (giac/stasis)

    THEN i would get
    1. stasis
    2. k and n
    3. AWE

    1990 944S2 Cabriolet
