Wow that car looks good for 150,000 miles. I'd say it's a fairly good price. That's a lot of miles, but he seems to have had the important maintenance done, except for the clutch (so ask him about that). This car in excellent shape should be about $9k, so with the thermostat problem etc. I'd say it's a fair price.

Also, S4's are expensive to maintain, I'm sure you'll hear from like everyone. Personally, if I were looking for an Audi in the range of $8-9k, I would go for a 1.8T A4. You can always go BT and kick ass. Less miles, blah blah. Just a thought.

Also, it's probably a 2+ hour drive from Cranston.

Looks alright, but no heat could be an expensive or time consuming fix depending on what's causing it.

Not bad ... Seems only things that "could" go wrong are the turbo's. You could just go stage 3 for about $15k total =)

Save up for stage 3. You will save money in the end. Even if your the type that doesnt like to mod cars, you will get bitten by the bug and will go stage 3 no matter your financial state. You will find a way to fund it. So save your self the minor problems here and there and buy a healthy stage 3. Btw that is a very clean s4, but it wont look as nice as it does in thoes pictures, " Car is now on stock wheels with Bridgestone Potenzas
No more RS4 Grille, Neuspeed Spring,Yellow Fogs" The Rims in thoes pictures make it very clean. Anyways good luck, wait and wait till you find the perfect s4 for your needs.

I searched for about 10 months to find the right S4, and slammed a jewel. 36k miles, 02, in GREAT shape (couple dings, nothing major)... it was worth waiting for, thats for damn sure.

I guess it all depends on what you're willing to spend. Like many have said you can find a gem with low miles, but you're gonna pay a little more for it. Or you can find one with higher mileage for alot less, but will it give you problems? I picked one up out of Florida pretty cheap with all maintenance done at 100k. It had 138,000 when I bought it and it's in mint condition. Interior and exterior it's very clean. The only thing I did was put a front control arm kit on it because the balljoint boots were old and dry rotted and squeaked really bad. I have a heating problem, or lack there of, also. Blows out cold but hell for what I paid I couldn't pass it up. I was wary also with that many miles, but if you get it from a reputable person that took care of it, it may be worth it. Good luck!

Sounds like a decent deal. I honestly cant tell you how long these engines will last tho. I havent herd of anyone at or above 200k yet.

160K here, and going strong. Quite a few 200K plus people out there. Going stage 3 tends to take life out of these cars, supposedly. I think that the way it's driven and modded determines miles above 200K.

I am sure he knows better. I never knew there was such thing as your handle. 1fastb6s4. I hear they have one hell of a 3rd gear. Do they have any other gears?
