Exclamation 4th Prop Shaft seal Leak, help.........

OK, this is the 4th time I will be bringing my car in for a stupid ass propshaft seal leak. I want to know what can be causing the seal to leak every few months? I told them last time to make sure they check everything because I don't want to come back for this again, but here we go again. My CPO warranty expired last month, but I have documented repairs from the last 2 years for the same prop shaft seal so I hope they don't give me any trouble and if they do I'm definitely calling AudiNA. Can anyone tell me what could be causing this leak?? Thanx in advance.

Poor quality. The seal, bearing, shaft, hub and the housing may be defective. The propshaft may not be balanced properly.
It is normal to leak a small amount over a long time. If the hub is out of round or you have a bad bearing, then a new seal will leak.

Thanx for that info. What you're saying sounds right to me, they changed my torque converter a few months back and maybe they didn't do something right when putting everything back together.

I just got a call from Audi and they're telling me it's not the propshaft seal, it might be the torque converter seal. I don't get it, they changed the torque converter a few months back. I have no luck with this car.

My SA just called me and told me that my rear main seal needs to be replaced. This is pretty retarded with only 48k miles on the car, but atleast I'm covered by my CPO. Has anyone else changed they're rear main seal???

Getting my car back today, it took over a week to figure out that the rear main seal was leaking and replace it. I'm gonna cross my fingers that this is the last of these stupid problems.
