you can put it in Canadian mode so the fog lights come on with your driving lights, auto lock at 8 mph ( i think its 8), remove seat belt dinging, ugh thats all i can think of

    Re: Nifty vag codes?

you could change the adaptation codes for the MPG computer to make it more accurate. if you do make sure you do a lot of logging on what your actual MPG is before changing it. dont remember how to do it though (search).

    Re: Nifty vag codes?

For those looking for help with VAG-COM codes, check out the following link - Common Diagnostic Procedures. I hope it helps - it certainly helped me out!

The link further up in the thread is a very informative discussion in regards to logging the B6, but they really never address the more common and elementary questions of service interval resetting, changing service interval periods, automatic locking doors at low speed, key fob modification (removing selective locking), etc.

I def. want the code to stop that annoying buzz from sounding when I open my door with my headlights on!

    Re: Nifty vag codes?

Using the link I provided in my previous post, I was able to successfully deactivate 'selective locking' and activate 'locking via speed'. Whereas I was not successful with changing my service interval from 10,000 miles to 5,000 miles. Following the guide Ross Tech provides, Channel 05 under 17 - Instruments was "Not Available" whereas Channel 02 already had a value of 0 even though I did not reset the reminder. Any ideas as to why this is?
