Need to help, trying to diagnoise if turbo is bad.

I'll try to make a long story short. When I bought the car, it had sludge problems. i did a couple AutoRX treatments, everything worked fine. Drove the car for two years. About every 2000 miles after an oil change I hear valve clicking, so thats when I always change the oil.

This last time I went about 3000 miles, and on my way home from work, the Oil Light of Death came on, you know the 3 beeps and the oil can on the display screen on the guage cluster. I was about a half a mile from home, so I drove it easy, didn't boost.

I parked it in the garage for about a week, and finally today I got some autoRX in the mail. I did an oil change, put a mobil 1 filter, and mobile 1 full synthetic 10-40 in it. Also added the autoRX. So then I take it out for a test drive. It's blowing tons of smoke out the exhaust, enough to fill up a parking lot. So I took it back home. Let it idle, very little smoke comes out at idle, but still noticeable. But as soon as I rev it up to about 3-4k rpms smoke starts dumping out. Also I took it for a drive around the block, gave it a little boost, and the turbo doesnt have the same sound as normal. The best way to describe it is a sound you would get from some speakers hooked up to an amp that had a ton of roadnoise/whine.

I'm guessing, well at least hoping its maybe the turbo. It will give me a reason to throw a k-04 on there. But would a bad turbo cause that much smoke? I'm ready to rip out the turbo to check it out. But I would like some of your oppinions on other options. Im hoping its not the motor. At idle and when reved the motor sounds like a champ, no valve ticking or anything like that.

Please chime in with your thoughts and oppionss.

Also if there's anyone in Salt LaKe City, UT that would be willing to come help me pull the turbo and fix my car. I've got some cool shit I can give you in trade. I inherited alot auto body tools, including a few bad ass paint guns, including a dura007 auto spray gun that retails for like $500 brand new in a metal case, and a few iwata and sata guns. Also have a nice lincoln mig welder which ill never use. I've got a ton of heat lamps from the body shop i can plug in the garage to keep warm, someone come help me, Ill hook you up fat with some cool tools.

You should consider an oil pump and turbo oil feed line too. It's not that hard to remove the turbo actually, just need a few wrenches. If it is inside I might can you a hand (supposed to snow very soon!), me likey welders!
