Need your opinion...

I tried to put on my vmr testpipe this morning everything went smooth took the carbonio off fine and got 3 bolts of the cat/turbo and I couldn't get the fourth bolt off on bottom right if your looking at it from the front of the car don't know how you could possibly get this off I
had all the right tools swivel heads extensions etc. So after hours and hours I decided to put the car back together and drove it to my local shop they tried scaring me saying if I get caught I will pay a fine and police would impound my car I know its illegal but I think its really rare to get caught...is the testpipe worth it and does anyone know how to get the bolts of the cat/turbo side on a tiptronic?

lol i heard the same thing .. its illegal not to have a cat .. but which cop do you no that will look into your engine bay .. your not a civic with a stolen engine

Thats the main reason why i've never been pulled over in this car *knock on wood*. In CA its illegal to have tint on the front windows, as most know, but i have yet to get any beef with the law over it. Now unlike my buddie in his 07 GTI fahrenheit totally done up, he gets in trouble all the time. All im saying is if you have the basic wheels+tint+drop combo, a test pipe isn't going to cause the law to look under our hood and think they know a rats ass about our car. Cat's are located in so many different place's on cars, they wouldn't have a clue that our's are right near the firewall area.

Stick your hand around the cat from the top and then put the wrench on as if you were going to take it off from the bottom of the car. That was the easiest one, but those are all pretty easy compared to the cat-dp bolts.

Personally, I try to be green... I even recycle LMAO... yes more pollution, but it's your choice.

did you try spraying it with some WD-40 to try and loosen it up?

I couldn't even get to that bolt though got to the other 3 no problem

Anybody from central jersey know of a shop that had done this before and for a reasonable price?

you'll be fine with the test pipe....most cops wont even notice. but if you get a cop that knows cars. he'll be able to tell you have gutted cats or a test pipe, but just smelling your car's exhaust.
