I finished installing the kit i got from eurocode today, and when i started the car, the traction control light stays on, my headlights stay on, my interior lights all stay on...Why is this happening? I got my ecu flashed for the revo 550cc tune and idk what could be causing the car to go crazy like this. Any insight would help, thanks?

Was the battery disconnected for the install? (Should have been when removing and installing the ECU.)

The traction control light is on because you most likely have to reset the steering level angle sensor. http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/car...ringangle.html

also, do a throttle body alignment for good measure: http://wiki.ross-tech.com/index.php/...Alignment_(TBA)

    Airbag light on too??

Why your lights stay on is beyond me.

Funny when I got my ECU in after my AWE GT28r install my check engine and traction light were on and they havent gone off in a month now despite the car running brilliantly.

I will have to try to reset the steering level angle sensor next week and see if that fixes one of the problems.

Is your battery dead? Take it out and test it. Sometimes when the batt voltage is low (especially after a disconnect/reconnect cycle), it will have enough voltage to drive any already-closed relay circuits, but not enough juice to actuate the relay itself. Also check for a proper ground at the batt terminal.

Re: Installed the 71r elim kit, now some problems..

All those symptoms (except the ESP, ABS and ETC warnings, they result from having the batt disconnected,) with the lights and fan malfunctioning, indicate that water has leaked into the ECU box, then dripped from the ECU box and soaked the Central Electric Control Module below the ECU box, under the drivers side dash. The fan running constantly on fast is from water in the ECU box, and the other weird lighting and electrical symptoms are from water soaking the CECM. You must remove all the water from the ECU box, dry thoroughly, The ECU power supply relay may need to be replaced, as well as anything else in the ECU box that got wet. You may be able to save the CECM by removing the module cover and drying the circuit board with a hair dryer, be carefull not to over heat the circuit board, limit the heat to about 100 F. If the driver's side carpet is wet, there could be water in the Comfort/Convienience Control Module box under the driver's side carpet, forward of the driver's seat, that will cause weird symptoms with the remote door locking and alarm functions.
