    VAG-COM TBA. Please help.

So my throttle body seems to have gotten screwed up. I guess it happened when my battery disconected, then i turned it back on and drove right away without letting it do the auto TBA. I ordered a new TB from throughbred auto parts - big mistake: they are horrible and am still waiting on it 2 weeks later.
I tried doing a manual TBA with the 20$ VAG-COM cable and 409 software but it wouldn't let me do it. I went into "engine", then "measuring blocks", selected group 1 and saw that the throttle position indication was off. However when i tried to do the "switch back to basic settings" it wouldnt let me do it. Is it only because im using the free software? Can anyone please see you would be able to select "switch back to basic settings?"
...I don't think i'll ever get the throttle body from thoroughbred...

the ross tech website says group 98 but when i tried looking at group 98 i gave out no readings or returned an error (forget exactly what it was) and didn't give me the option to "switch back to basic settings"...
