is my ecu chipped?

i just bought a ecu from a member its for a 2000 a6 2.7t manual and now im trying to figure out wheres the chip i opened it up and dont see anything different from my stock ecu nothing says giac or anything can you guys help me out and tell me wat im looking for its suppose to be a giac x chip installed let me know asap thanx

I think that with GIAC they flash the ECU with the new parameters for the tune, kinda like installing an upgraded operating system on your computer. You won't see anything different. Have you installed it? There are 3 ways to tell:
1: You can take the engine to 7k RPM
2: You will push more boost than 9PSI
3: You'll get a kick in the seat difference

Hook up a boost guage.
