performance wise the car seems to pull harder, longer in each gear and while being 62 degrees today and rainy...the car performed as if it were 40 degrees out...the engine also is noticeably smoother, especially on the highway
now my question is can i cut the 3 center pieces of the bumper?..will it create a problem?

I thought you had to cut them to make the pipes fit like most people. It's kinda strange you cut up your grills to show some pipe off. I was going to suggest to at least paint them black.

yes you can cut off those 3 supports.. not a problem...pipes look ok, just not my thing

you are correct...somewhat...they didnt fit entirely because some clamps got in the way...but i also liked some of the guys on here who have aftermarket bumpers that show off the pipes...i like the pipe look...so it works out in both ways..but just to be clear..it was for funtionality first

I fabbed up a custom ebay fmic and was able to keep the fogs and grills....(and I didnt weld at all...[beside the boost sensor flange])

And yea....I agree with Greg, piping is gay....I am definitely painting mine the next time I have to remove the bumper.

Unless the paint you intend to use is bulletproof, then powdercoating the pipes might be better.

I'll have to agree with this one. I hate intercoolers that show; same with piping. We don't drive around with clear hoods do we?

But I won't tell you how to mod your car, as noone really can. You posted the pictures for feebdack, and I think it looks terrible. You got it installed, and it seems to work properly, so +1 for that.

thats a stock b6 sport package bumper just with the center grill gone right ? i have the same one and looks like i now know exactly what i want my front end to look like thanx absolutegtr

ha...the term "sleeper" usually refers to a fast car that doesnt look fast..i wouldnt call my car a sleeper since it really isnt that fast

as far as cutting the grills...i had to for now, the left side had a clamp preventing the grill from going in, i tried to move it around but it wouldnt fit any other way...it was better than letting the car go without any side grills at all which looked even more "ghetto fab" then some think it does now..eventually i want to do some sort of mesh grill that covers the whole area, but it will still show the pipes behind it
