hi guys
hoping someone might point me in the direction, driving along today and car just starts running like crap out of the blue, cel starts flashing ,finally get the car home and codes i got were 16686 cylynder 2 misfire,16684 random misfire,16688 cylynder 4 misfire.the car is a 2001 ... should i just get coils or i was told when #2 misfires its something in the ignition .. any help would be greatly appreciated....thanks

replace spark plugs first.

the plugs are pretty new under 15k

my NGK R are that new too and I have to replace them.

i had that same exact problem with my car and it's a 98 A4 2.8Q tiptronic. cylinder's 4 and 6 misfired and i had to replace cracked lines to both cylinders, as with the spark plugs.
