Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
There was a lot of interest in these nav units in the group buy request forum (http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...=235332&page=2).

I've started talking to vagnav and want to get the ball rolling so post up which one you want if you're interested (a4, a6, euro converted to us etc.) and how much you're willing to pay.

sorry to cross-post, just need some info so i can get back to vagnav and set up this group buy

    Re: RNS-E NAV group buy?

Im SO down. I just want one that I can put in my S4 and it looks stock.

We need to figure out which ones will successfully fit in our dashboards (ie. what model fits). Anyone with the right info should def post it up!

A used one on ebay goes between 800 and 1300 depending on condition. these things retail for 1500 without all of the accessories(bluetooth, xm, ipod, etc) so I really doubt they are going to be 500 or even 800 for the group buy. Once i get an idea on how many we're looking at buying I will get a price. I'm thinking 1000 is a more accurate price for these.

    You need an a6 unit from a 2000-2004 A6.

The fit in that last picture doesn't look right... it just looks weird to me for some reason.

look at the right side, the whole unit is mounted off-center toward the passenger side. I believe that some minor trimming is required on the bottom but the sides should fit perfectly. someone step in and correct me if I'm wrong.

    Re: RNS-E NAV group buy?

it has to be from an allroad or european c5 a6. you have to trim the bottom of the faceplate and there is a small gap on each side. these units are getting hard to find. $1500 would be a great price, but i doubt they will be that cheap.

is it me or is the color a little off too? I mean, the RNS-E looks a little too greyish compared to the flat black color of our dash... IDK.

any way you can get the c5 a6 units soon? the majority of us drive the B5 s4 and the a6 model is the only unit that fits in the dash apparently.

What is the difference between the converted euro and american units in terms of the faceplate?

    i found this picture of a b5 with 2006 american a4 unit (part number: 8E0 035 192 J) :

This seems to fit better than the euro unit in the write up, I'm guessing it's a bigger faceplate that's been trimmed to fit.
