    Did it today ...

After reading a bunch of posts regarding the CC, I finally decided to put the headlights in the stove (and believe me, I was crapping my pants) but everything went well. I did one thing different: because I did not want to open the lens completely, I smashed the orange lens just before the stove stage. Like this, I had to pry and open the headlight just a little bit, without making any mess with the glue, and was able to close it back while it was still warm.

Then, Oil change, Air Filter, Oilf filter, SRI with Wagcom to reset everything and, a little bath

and to take care of the 4x4 mode, I have these on their way.

    To be installed next Friday
    Stay tuned and drive safe

As someone who just tried this, how hard was it to get the bumper off and back on? I may have the tools laying around, but I'm more worried about that part than the baking.

    Clean.

I would do the CC mod, except I don't think you'll pass inspection in NYS.

True.. You need a reflector in the front in order for your car to pass inspection. Always good to have a friend as a mechanic tho.

Not that bad. I did not even put the car on jacks nor remove the wheels:

1/ All top and bottom fenders screws are a piece of cake
2/ 10 mm nuts on the right side = peanuts because you can stick your hand inside the fender and remove and install them by hand.
3/ 10 mm nuts on the left side = Not that bad with an extension but a bit a pain to reinstall because you can't fish the nut straight. I use a different extension that look like a spring and it became easy.
4/ When you are done with the mod and reinstall each headlight, do not tight them completely. Apply the final torque once the bumper is back in place.
5/ Of course, don't mess with the back headlight adjustment or the 2 thingy on each side of the radiator or all the gaps are going to be off.

All together, it took me 3 hours
There is couple good DIY posted on the site

Damn, I wish I had the weather you have over there, I woke up today to around 6 inches of snow.

Easy, there was a DIY I used that pointed out the 4 10MM nuts that attach the bumper. It takes me less than 20 min now, I did not find it necessary to take out the wheel well.

    Re: Did it today ...

I thought break the cap too. but wasnt sure that broken part will come out easily through the small gap. Because i dont want to cook inside the oven i was just going to break the amber by screw driver or something from behind through the hole which bulb going in. Will this be work?

I don't think so because the orange lens is made in soft plastic and you are going to end up damaging the chrome inside the headlight

I think in NYS, as long as it will blink orange its okay. But not white.

I don't think the orange lens is a functional reflector. I think NY might be fussy about you painting over the side reflectors. Maybe?
