    Installed A8 MFSW into my B6 S4

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I finally got my A8 steering wheel in my car, pretty cheap mod, I got the wheel and airbag for $65 shipped to my door, and I re-used my B6 clockspring by re-pinning the connector to save some money. The most expensive part was the new control module ($150). Heres a pic.

    great deal.

im not a fan of the style though. i've always preferred 3 spoke wheels in 'sporty' cars. 4 spokes are for luxury cruisers...like the A8.

    Awesome !!!
    Brushed aluminum accents are kool.

Were you able to get all the functions on the wheel to work?
I know on my B7/S4 MFSW:
    - the right knob is volume
    >> the right knob pushed is < I forget>
    - the left knob is select (station, cd/sd song or bluetooth phone directory select)
    >> the left knob pushed is bluetooth phone cancel or hang-up
    - the right button is bluetooth phone enable
    - the left button is nothing.

Yep, everything is working, the right knob pushed repeats the last navigation instruction. I cant wait for my bluetooth to get here!

What year A8 is that? My dad has a 07 and it looks very similar in design to the B7 S4 wheel. I like the round middle section.. Looks good man.

The install wasnt TOO bad, the coding of the module was kind of a pain, and then re-wiring my harness was a little difficult because i couldnt any directions anywhere, i'm going to make a DIY on how to rewire the harness so you can use the B6 clockspring

Does the A8 use a single or dual stage airbag?

I agree that the 3 spoke is best for the Sporty4, but the A8 wheel looks real nice! Great job.

Did you hook both stages up to the airbag circuit, or just one? Or were you able to use the stock S4 airbag?

I had to get the A8 airbag, it was only $35 + shipping. Yes, I hooked up both stages to the one B6 circuit, no airbag light. I'm going to keep it like that unless I find out that hooking it up to just one would be better
