B6 S4 brakes on A4?

Are the B6 S4 brakes a direct fitment for the B6 A4?

-I have done a search and all that came up was a DIY for the B5 S4 brakes to a B5 A4

-Also, will they clear the stock 17"sport wheels?

yes they will fit, u will need the rotors pads calipers/carriers

you might have a problem with wheel fit meant have some spacers ready.

Direct swap and your 17" oem sport wheel will clear them no problem.
IIRC, yoogene was rocking B6S4 brakes with his stockers for a while.

B6 S4 brakes fit fine over almost everything, B5 S4 brakes on the other hand are a problem. Neither one are a problem on OEM sport wheels.

Doc you don;t need a write up, brakes are brakes, if you are mechanically inclined, it should be a walk in the park. Have some torx bits read, I think T25? and a 7mm allen.

I have B6 S4 brake front and rear... They where a direct swap (rotors, carriers and calipers). If you find someone who has a S4 and went BBK then he will probably sell you everything needed. Great stopping power, specially after having the crappy A4 stock brakes. I have used them on my stock USP 18'' wheels with no problem, but I don't know if they will clear 17's since on 18's they seemed pretty tight... Would be good to know if they clear 17's cause I know someone selling them for cheap and I would like them for the track...

Looks like if you read above you will find that most people agree that they do clear the 17's

I am interested in doing this upgrade my question is where can I find the caliper carriers to swap out my A4 carriers, with the S4 B6 carriers? Or what caliper carriers will fit?

I have another question about this setup, I own a 2002 B6 A4, so will any B6 S4 year fit my car? I noticed 2002 S4 caliper is different then the 2004 S4 calipers, so does this matter?

The 02 and down is a B5S4 caliper and is 321x30mm, the 2004 is a B6S4 caliper and up is a 345x30mm.

Ok, thanks. Am I better off finding a used set of B5S4 brakes, and buying a rebuild kit for the sills, or buying new calipers? I have been searching, but they all seem to be sold without carriers? What the hell why doe sno body sell just the calipers?

I have an option of buying S4 B6 brakes... but I'm confused... will they fit on my Audi A4 1,9TDI quattro? Are there some modifications that i must be aware of??

The B5S4 calipers dont have a extra carrier like many calipers, they are built into the caliper.
Also note that some said B5S4 calipers will clear 17 OEM sport wheels, mine did not, you will need like a 5mm spacer. B6S4 calipers will clear.

For the Reference....

I have B5 S4 HP2 brakes on my B6 (03) A4, with STOCK 17" Sport wheels, No Spacers.

It's a tight fit, but they do Fit.

Bout to get into some B6 S4 front's...

B6 A4 calipers are different and smaller than S4 calipers. Which means you can't just change the carriers themselves. B7 a4 on the other hand, shares the same b7 and b6 s4 calipers so you can get away by just changing/swapping the carriers.

It is easier to find the whole assembly themselves than finding the carriers only. But I believe Donovan is currently selling his carriers atm.

^^ A quick use of the search feature on the B6 will tell you everything about this. It is a direct bolt-on but obviously...you'll need new pads and rotors. New brake dust cover and SS lines are optional.
