blinking led license plate bulbs and amp

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I just installed an amp this weekend and everything is working great. The system sounds great with no ground loops but all of the sudden my led license plate bulbs that we fine for 6 mos or so are now blinking and occasionally throwing an error in my dash. I recall when I bought the led's that some people were having trouble with them blinking.

I wonder how many of those had an amp? Any idea's on how to make them stop blinking?

Same thing happened to mine. They kept blinking on and off and throwing a bulb out on my dash. I got fed up and bought new ones that worked, being that they're relatively cheap. I have no patience

What is the power supply connection for the amp pulling power from? If it's powered from the same circuit as the original amp, the current the amp is pulling is causing the voltage at the LEDs to go below the minimum value voltage. If that is happening the amp is not receiving full voltage either. The above assumes the LEDs are fine with the AMP powered down.

No I ran 4 gauge rockford wire back from the battery like it shows in the a4 mods speaker installation. Its grounded behind the rear wagon panel - where its shaped for golf clubs, behind there. Good ground, no back noise or anything.

Today my left tail light went out too and when I change bulbs to a builb I know is good (tested in another socket) it still doesn't work. No blown fuses. Im worried I somehow fuc%ed my electronics. Im going to wait until tomorrow. No way to power down amp without removing fuse to battery or power wire to amp.

    Ideas?

New front components going in tomorrow!

By "blinking", what is that describing, does the intensity of the LEDs vary or do they turn on and off with a regular even, or irregular interval?

Only the right one links, regularly and sometimes it will go off for a period of time. I just put my stock ones back in and Im going to test it out. I will most likely be selling this 42 designs versions if anybody wants them. Ill post a classifieds ad soon. Now Ive got to finish this stereo system.
