DV diagram

Does anyone have a diagram on how the stock DV connects to the intercooler? Im looking to replace it with something completly mechanical, along the lines of this
Because the dv is electrical will removing what ever it plugs into have any negative effect on the engine, like the ecu flipping out?

this is the picture, I can't help you any further, the DV is part 3 and is attached directly to the turbo
