11 hour total driving time and lots of cursing, leads me hear now...


And now i'm stuck because I don't have the appropriate 20 point torx bit to take the front seats out. Guess to be continue.

I drove 2100 miles round trip for mine.

Your seats look mint and I am sure you are going to love them just as much as I do once installed.

Remember to replace the passenger side fuse BEFORE you start playing with the controls otherwise you'll pop it and the seat won't move.

BTW I use Lexol cleaner and conditioner on mine and it gives the car that nice 'new car' smell each time.

Is it the same 12point dealio that you use for the front driveshaft flanges on the trans? I think that is what my A4 seats use. You can find them at NAPA too. Super easy to find. I think the seats might even be an 8mm since the driveshafts are 12mm if I recall correctly.

Its called a triple sqaure bit.

I bought a whole set off of ebay for like $40 shipped and they held up great (even when doing my transmission----flywheel)

And the seats are looking great!

BTW, try to get a shorter triple square bit otherwise the rear bolts are a bit hard to get to squarely even with the seats all the way forward.

Damn Lee, I didn't realize you were from Pittsburgh! I'm sure I'lll head over there again, it looks like a cool city. I didn't really have much time to check it out, since I only planned a day trip. Next time for sure I'll check the local forum, or PM you.

I realized actually if you push the seat all the way up, and move it forward, you get a lot better clearance. Thanks for the tip.

I learned that when I fixed my lumbar support.

+1...I scratched the center console also. Second time around I realized that removing the headrest and reclining the seat forward made it SO much easy to get in and out.
