Are front & rear door speakers the same?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I am upgrading my front speakers (Audax setup) soon. Already have them, just need to install them likely this weekend. My back passenger door speaker sounds beat and slightly blown. Can I swap one of the fronts (which function ok, just upgrading) to that door? Or, if not the same but will fit, I can swap both fronts back there.. If they won't fit, what size do I need?

Can anyone shed some light? Thanks!

Re: Are front & rear door speakers the same?

I have 6.5" in all 4 doors. I think there is a depth problem with some larger speakers, but I fit 6.5" blaupunkts in all 4 doors.

That's good to know. What size is the tweeter? I think my tweeter is almost blown. Gives a scratchy sound.

Awesome! Thanks! I would much rather replace with a working front than upgrade both rears.. Thanks again all.. If anyone wants I can post up some pics of the swap with measures & necessary mods. Any interest?
