cops out in full force in GVRD

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up, i got followed twice last night by the cops (running my plates no doubt) and drove past about 2 or 3 speed traps on the way home last night from Vancouver.

keep an eye out on the usual speed traps and a close eye on your rearview, looks like its gonna be one of those months.

LOL I was going on the 20th street in burnaby last month...
the cop was right up my tail...
and that day I forgot to put the insurance paper in the glove compartment...
left it at home...
so I was like... shit... didn't crap on my pants but was like damn...
but luckily, nothing happened haha, 'cause I've always been a good driver(when cops around) XD

My girlfriend's dad just got a ticket for 5km over and forgetting to photocopy the back of the ownership. It's only $100. Any use of fighting it? He's pissed because the cop turned to pull him over.

I did pass a cop tonight while entering the highway by Westview and saw him give me the eye. Then I saw him signal to turn left and since there was no sidestreet there I'm guessing he's making a u-turn to come nail me for something wrong with the car.

Lucky for me there was no traffic in front of me so I booked it and took the Lonsdale exit and took the long way home.

Guess I'll be driving the less heaty e30 for the next few days if they are on a quota hunt.

yeah thats what happened to me last night.. ran home quickly from the gf's house as im comming out my drive way of my complex(being the only fricken car on the road at 1:30am) bam i see a cop car go by so i wait a few seconds then go to give me that gap so next thing you know... Mr cop and coppet slow down to what it looked like 5 k not even brakes on hard so i quickly pull a right as the cop slams its brakes on in the intersection and the procedes to follow me ..I knew damm if i let him get me id be busted for

tint
exhaust
turnsignals(non orange)
hid's in my foggs only lights that were on on my car
open alk(had 4 beer, half a miki and s 26er with 3 shots remaining on the pass seat.

So down goes the windows and i procede to drive as he follows gettin closer(20 car gap between us) ...goin think fast....so what do i do next... as the cop gets closer and closer i knew the next thing was lights! then id have to stop..

But instead!!!

Hill climb i rip a right onto one of the streets and in no time im doin 120 up hill. I floor it take some other streets go up some other hills and soon i am at the gf's house.

All in all WATCH OUT! Do not attempt what i have done! its bad but some times you just gotta do what ya gotta do.

I am just waiting for a front tinted ticket. Earlier last week I was coming between Willingdon and 12th/Granview on that street parallel to the highway and they were there. One walked out in front of my car kinda lazily and I wasnt sure if he was going to stop me or not. He continued to wander into the street without signalling me so I kept cruisin and at the last second he put his hand yup so I dropped my window and waited for the inevitable. I was also on the phone so I lowered it to prepare to speak with the cop and he just said "thanks, we are checking seat belts" ... obviously my arm was covering my seat belt so he wasnt sure if it was on or not. By some grace of god he didnt hit me for window tint even though he was just straining to see through it !

Lucky me ... this time !

Damm yeah on the old car i was busted for tint, Couldnt see in at all. Then the cop decided to have an argument with me to tell me that the back of my car was not to be tinted and that i would have to remove that as well.

Im like oh really..what about all the cars at the dealership, or half the other million out there with tint. Shes like well its not alowed, im like well if you wana give me a ticket for that too then go right ahead but ill see you in court.

In the end i just got busted for the front but soon got it redone.

With black on black my interior will reach 42+ degrees in the summer (verified by thermometer a few summers ago).I have the lighest available tint on the front windows and that stops something like 60% of the UV and makes a substantial difference in the interior temperatures, that is why the tint stays !

But yeah a north vancouver cop was talking to me and another guy came up to him as said '' woah north vancouver thats a lil far'' cop replyed well the have made a new rule where we can go all over the place now and give tickets.....this true?

As far as I know, Delta can only give tickets in Delta, Vancouver in vancouver etc, Rcmp run show. But I have been seeing some more Delta Po-po not only in delta but all over the jurisdiction, which is really weird. So maybe they can.

on my way to downtown from Joyce this evening, I spotted 5 cops, all in those Ford Victoria painted dark. Two of them were parked on the road side on Kingsway ( im guessing with laser guns).

lucky evening for me not to get caught for tinting and modified front plate.

they can now, I think before they could only pull people over and give tickets in another jurisdiction if the offense they were ticketing for was committed in the police officers jurisdiction.

I had a VPD blow past me doing at least 160 on hwy 1 last week, thought that cowboy was going to hit my car.

US COP car with lights on?????.... THAT BOY Would be in a lot of trouble if he was seen by local police. They usually come up here for meets and conventions.. Also some shooting comps and trainings.

A little info from the "inside":
Legally Any police officer in the province of bc can give you a ticket anywhere in BC.
Also there is an Intergrated Traffic Task force now. Basically cops from all over the lower mainland... So you will have rcmp and delta and vpd guys together setting up radar traps in certain spots... Dont be surprised if a Delta PD or VPD pulls you over in coquitlam in a radar trap

They are getting real tricky too, saw an unmarked black 4 door Focus yesterday with practically no visible signs of being a cop car. Integrated LED lights, no tint, no markings only the absence of wheels/hub caps to give it away.

They should focus more on other stuff than giving out traffic tix....
