friend made me a "martini box"

a kid in my car club apparently is pretty good at fiberglassing and has made many fiberglass sub boxes in the past. i didnt know this until he told me. so check out my new box:



now ive just got to find a place where i can get some carpet for it. anyone know where i could find that?

oh and i also got aero wiper conversion, arms and blades, for $92

the material i used was just a fleece material from walmart... it matches very well and its stretchy so it was easy to work with. i would bring a part of your trunk liner into the store and do some comparisons

what about some suede?

suede wouldnt look right with the rest of the trunk. im going to get some carpet dye and make my whole trunk black, then i want to find a large audi logo patch to place in the middle.

I took my box to a upholstery shop for them to match it up and put it on with heavy duty glue. The last box I tried to do myself looked bad and the glue did not stick very well.

It matches very close.

dude is that legit CF or a sticker type of thing? my friend was going to do that for me but he couldnt get into the CF room at his school because someone apparently broke in the week before.

anyway, i carpeted it tonight. it looks alright. for some reason, the carpet is two shades off the same roll. and you can see the seem where i cut it. going to have to make it look better.

im getting tired of my stock sub and im thinking about making myself a custom enclosure. ive never worked with fiberglass before but there's a DIY over at http://a4mods.com/#index.php?page=we...es/subbox.html that im willing to try out. rather than buying an enclosure (like this one http://loslabs.com/product_detail.php?product_id=119) i feel more pride in something that i've made myself, u know?

im actually selling a pair of those type E's and two 10" infinitys. going with a 12" JL W3 or W6 for this setup. and yea, my friend said its got abou 1.2 cubic feet of space so im pretty sure thats enough.
