    Door Blades

Big Step. 1st thread in the S4 forum.

I took my door blades apart a while ago on my '00 A4 because they were rusted. I tried gluing them back on but it didn't work. So I'm just gonna get new ones.

I COULD go for the stock blades but since I have the S4 bumper, I'm thinking of using S4 lower door blades. And from what I understand, your blades are set up differently.

A4 blades have clips and rubber blades. I think S4 blades have an extra piece. Can someone confirm this and explain how they are installed. And perhaps give me a link to where I can find the missing part.

Also, I'm not using S4 side skirts. Not yet at least.

Here's what I have so far

    Re: Door Blades

The door blades are attached using 3m tape, adheisive type stuff.. Also their are plastic clips that go through the door to the interior part to more securily fasten them into place.

    Re: Door Blades

I'm pretty sure the LOWER blades aren't held by 3M tape.

A4 blades slide ride over the clips that go on the door.

S4 blades have like a rubber strip. That's what I need to know about.

Yeah. Now we're on the same page haha. The A4 ones slide on and off and that's easy. But the link that I showed you (the DIY Side skirts) suggests that there is another rubber piece that goes between the blade and the clips. If you are sure that they are the same as the A4 ones where the trim slides ONLY over the white clips, then my question is answered and I'm set.
