So i went to napa auto parts today to get a bosch 02 sensor(bank 1). Ended up paying $75.00 without the connector because i can just reuse the old one. When i got home i had trouble unscrewing the sensor, i had to torch it to get the bolt out. When i finally did, the thread was all stripped and had white powder all around it as well as in the hole. Does the white powder mean anything? Anyways i go to install the new one, when i come to find out it only has 4 wires instead of 5 the one the car had. So i go back to napa and they had a hard time figuring out why all their 2001 audi a4 sensors had 4 wires. I told him to look at other years, and it comes out that my o2 sensor is actually a 2002 a4 sensor by the bosch part number. How is that? I think their computer data is all screwed up. Anyways the part is on its way, it will be here tommorow, in the meanwhile i plugged the hole in the cat with a bolt till tommorow. Can i drive like that? All this so i can pass smog, what a day
