Speedo in MPH

Does anyone have a dead cluster with the speedometer in MPH that would be willing to mail me just the gauge face that has MPH?
Even better if it has both MPH and KM/H.

Ya, the time to go to one is my problem, I would be more than happy to pay someone with a dead cluster a few bucks for their time to rip it apart and mail me the little piece of plastic with the numbers on it.

If no one has a cluster they're willing to do that to then maybe I can find time to go look for one in a junk yard on Sunday...

Hmmm, the only problem is I've already got a spare cluster that I paid less for so I would have to sell it before I would consider buying another one just for the face. A cluster trade on the other hand might work and you would be #3 on the list.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I have an urgent need to get a speedo that reads in MPH before the end of this month since I can't register my car without one.

Anyone still want to do a trade or have a gauge face they could part with?
I'm happy to buy just the gauge face.
I also have a spare cluster with KM/h only that has a perfect LCD I would be willing to trade for a cluster in MPH that also has a perfect LCD.

Any other options on how I can get MPH onto my gauge face before the end of the month would be appreciated.

I believe these are cut differently in the older clusters so would probably have to come from a 2000 or 2001.

I don't want to have to buy a third cluster.

I'm willing to borrow one for a day just so I can get registered if I have to and then worry about getting a permanent one later with more time.

I'm still open to a cluster trade or just the gauge face trade, whichever. My spare cluster is from a 2001 A4 with the little LCD clock and the main LCD on it is perfect.

And of course I would love to buy just the face if anyone has a dead cluster.

Upon further inspection I'm starting to think it won't actually work to just swap the faces.

In the pictures I've seen of the US clusters in MPH the numbers don't line up the same as the equivalent Km/h numbers. 60MPH and 100Km/h should be close (62.5 is more precise for 100) which doesn't seem to be the case.

Also, on my Km/h face the speeds above 90Km/h are spaced shorter apart than those lower whereas this is not the case on the pictures I have seen of clusters in MPH.

I have a complete cluster, with both mph and km/h.

It's from a '98 car, non-LCD.
It's a pig to just strip off the face, I could mail you the lot for $70, so you could dismantle it your end.

I'm worried the numbers won't line up with the way my pointer moves based on some photo's I've seen of other clusters with MPH on them.

I'm interested, do you have a picture of the face? I'm worried now about the numbers lining up, it seems the Canadian speedo's aren't exactly linear for some reason (my guess is readability at lower common speeds).

Well, I went and bought another cluster.

Does anyone want to buy my second spare which has a perfect LCD and the Speedo in Km/h?
I'll sell if for $125 shipped which I think is less than I paid for it. It is in excellent condition.

Sorry I was really impatient since I have to register my car by tomorrow so I went and bought another one.

Depending on the cost of shipping I might still want your dead one anyway to experiment with but the panic for a MPH gauge face is over.

I don't have a cell number (I refuse to get a cellular phone ).
Does it have the clock as an LCD in the tachometer?
