cold weather problems with my A6

I have an 96 audi a6. Since the cold weather has started up, my engine has been running horribly. When it first starts up, there is barely if any throttle response, and the engine sounds like it is skipping until it warms up.

I have a corvette that sounded and ran close to what my audi is doing, but it needed a coil pack. I know it is not a coil pack, because since our weather has warmed up in the last few days (to about 65) the car runs like it is brand new.

My only thoughts so far is maybe something with the air intake, thottle body, or a map sensor

    Any thoughts?
