Weird turbo sound?

When my car starts up cold, it makes what I can only describe as a "tweedling" exhaust leaky kind of sound. I've checked the exhaust a number of times, and it goes away as the engine warms up. Any ideas?

my car does the same thing. i thought it was the DV "warming up" though. I hear a whistle type noise when i shift around 3k but then it fades away after ive bene driveing for 5 mins or so.....

I've got the exact same issue. Not sure if it's a bad gasket somewhere that seals itself up when expanding from heat. Anyone have this issue before and resolved it? Any help would be great.

Hmm... well, I know its not the SAI, because mine is kinda, um, in the trash somewhere ;) I have APR exhaust... others have different exhaust with same noise? that would rule out exhaust anyway. I also have GTRS, and pray its not the turbo bearings.

i have an AEB sooo IIRC the AEB doesnt have a a SAI. ....

I just matched up a cat delete 3in test pipe to my stock exhaust and my turbo seems to be making a fluttering sound when i get on it! do you think this is caused by a change in back pressure??????

My car is completely stock so we can rule out the exhaust. I really hope its not the turbo bearings either.

My car does this in the morning but stops as the engine Temp gets warmer. It does sound like its coming from the Turbo. I have a cold air intake and I thought it was coming from that but now since there is a post about it.

Bump. I have the same noise with a GTRS...a strange "tweedliing" noise when cold that goes away when full warmed up... any additional input from anyone here?

Have you guys had any problems since 2008 when this was posted?
