whatsup everybody...
Audi a4 1998 automatic 1.8t

well my radio shorted out today, because my stupid xenon headlights sometimes resets my radio (goes to pre-set 1, ejects the tape player...) and thus has the posibility of shorting out my radio. I am not sure why my headlights and radio are sharring power but who knows...had them installed.

my radio shorted out one time before, and i replaced the fuse (a red 10amp fuse, which i know is not for the radio, but once i found that fuse i replaced and it worked fine)

now i tried replacing a red fuse that looked brown on the silver tips, but still no radio working. I looked at the radio (#37 on fuse list) but it looks like it is fine.

why the first time when i replaced a red 10amp fuse did my radio work?
should i start looking through each fuse until i found a bad one?...like do they complete a circuit or something??

my xenon headlights drive me crazy!!! i have had so many problems with them.

does your radio turn on at all?

do your lights still turn on?
if lights don't turn on, I'd check the fuse for the head lights. maybe they are sharing a fuse some how

yea my headlights work fine...and the lights behind the radio buttons work as well. the radio just does not turn on.
