Couldnt figure it out so I just put the US plate mount on. I think I may eventually get some super strong magnets. Is the paint the exact stuff? If so, then start sanding away!

Nice im doing the same, got my paint at PPG as well. Maybe some color will happen this weekend.

Ill get a picture tomorrow or soemthing, but it doesnt stick too far out at all. It basically ends right where the border is.

I think its a no-no where ever you are but I'm gunna see what I can get away with, we are supposed to run front plates in Vermont and I have run a euro plate up front for a good year now with no hassel (knock on wood) so well see what goes down with the euro plate in the back too. Im gunna get my actual plate number on the euro plate

Yea I will prolly have my real plate in one for the lower back corners, my tint is only 35% so people can still see the plate, It will def be sesssy with just the euro plate lol

I would love to just run a euro plate, but that definitly can't be done in IL. That would be way to much of a hassel.
The US plate sits right above the euro trunk line on mine, with the plate frame it sits right on the line.

I thought Euro and 96 trunks were different. The Euro plates do not have the raised section above the plate where the button for the trunk latch is.

There are 2 different euro trunks. One is exactly the same as the 96 trunk and then there is the face lift euro trunk that is a bit different. It has a flat light cover where the button is located, no line that runs across the trunk under the lic plate and the lic plate area is more V shapped.

Can't you guys get license plates that are stretched out so that they match the euro plates?

Just wondering because in most of Europe we can get special plates with the same shape as US plates, if you have a US imported car for example.

No we cant. They do that in europe because the normal long plates wont fit in a small spot and the aren't going to force people to buy new trunks just to use the normal long plates.
