Surprise K03 Kill - First time poster... long time lurker

Hello everyone, well I have been lurking around here on AZ for almost a year and at AW for about 4. I have been collecting information and quietly tuning my ride. This is my first time posting. I am trying to get my whip to perform before I concentrate on its looks. As my sig shows I am hooked on mods.

Last night my subdued looks really served me well as I served up a kill on a 350Z. I read with great surprize and amazement the Rav4 vs A4 battle in NY last week and believe me I have spanked every one I have come across to redeem the respect of our B6A4...

Anyways on my way home from the library last night I was approaching my favorite sweeping on ramp & getting ready to do some seriously fun 4 wheel drifting I always leave other cars far behind on this ramp. From the corner of my eye I saw a fast approaching car but passed it off as wanting to continue straight on. Much to my surprise this cocky driver commenced to jump right in front of me just @ the last second with his little blinker flashing. I tapped my brakes and the 4 piston Alcons responded eagerly My horns are wacked so I could not honk @ him but I could follow him round the bend . Twice I counted he almost lost it going down the on ramp now I was pissed. First he almost caused an accident now he stole my fun. I upshifted to 3rd and prepared to let him have it. I glanced in my mirrors thank goodness the freeway was open behind us. I opened up and my APR exhaust growled its delight at my urging. My car leapt forward eagerly ready to avail itself of the insult. The 350z driver was stretching his legs for the horizon and I could hear his Nissan VQ35 V6 howling & then... I started to pull on him steadily for a good 2 car lengths and let off @ 110. The guy must have really been surprised cause he rode my bumper & let me do it to him again. I will not debage for just this reason I wanted him to know a 1.8 beat him. Temps were in the 60s it was a good turbo night. Here is a humble phone pic of my whip

Lol nah no smoke here need my brains to make the big money for all the expensive mods... as u know our cars gulp money... getting ready for BAT with monsta powa....hehehe As for being a writer thanks for noticing, I am currently a student between degrees and working full time in the healthcare industry.

Lol... What's wierd with that? Do u have another suggestion? Well I couldn't wait for a BAT build and my OEM clutch was all done @ 89690mi same with my brakes - literally it was pressure plate to flywheel when it was taken apart. I LUV my spec stg3+ its engagement point is very close to stock - wish it came like this from the factory and there is very little increase in pedal stiffness... of course it took me a good 2-3000 mi to completely break in and it only chatters at idle with the AC on with the 16lb flywheel I LUV launching with my K03 and being able to chirp the tires... fun stuff...

I wouldn't go any other way BBK Alcons and monster Spec clutch

i have a similar story only it was with a bmw 335 and i KNOW he DID NOT know how to drive it seeing as i was pullin on him in 5 and when 6th came along he was long gone. It was a nice feeling for the time being and then i was like "that should not have happened, this guy had no idea what he was doing" but hopefully soon it won't be wierd and start to become a habit lol ... nice kill story

Yes LWFW is Lightweight Flywheel Ive seen it on lots of websites summarized like that sorry if I caused any confusion.

My boost spikes 21 psi and holds 17-19 depending on how the ECU feels

Feel free to ask away about my mods and experiences. I do have some stories and theories on the benefits of some mods like the N249 (which I don't have listed). Hmmm might start up a thread on a few things...

Thanks "Arclight" I did have experience with this ramp and knew enough for instance:
1) Which gears to be in for the most power
2) When to shift to stay in the power band
3) The little known tactic to back off just a bit in the last 25% of the curve to allow me to use my quattro grip to open up full throttle and build up full boost.

I have been told I write well by my professors and co-workers maybe I should start listening

Lightweight flywheel, and it says it's 16lbs vs. the stock 20lbs.

lol this kinda reminds me of one of my buddies that has a plain jain 2000 chevy impala, we would be waiting at a stop light, light turns green, we would take off normally but if the car next to us took off faster then he would floor it just to "beat" them n then tell people he beat this car n that car.. talk about embarressing haha... triple blk im not putin u down at all, cause you realize you shouldnt have won, and admitted the 335 couldnt drive, just thought about all the "kills" my buddie woulda tell people about haha

I'm going to have to agree, a lot people DO write like they were taking narratives from their 5 year old brother on this site. So although his story was written tremendously better than most, i still don't think it's magazine writer quality just because he used adjectives.

There is nothing wrong with running a stage 3 with those mods. I run a stage 3 spec on my gti and its still n/a. The only problem is the clutch will wear out faster.

Agreed, "b6onboost" skill and the ability to judge ur situation, circumstances, and quarry are key to an imprompteau or any challenge. The fun part of course is the initial cockiness of the challenger and the agressiveness of the response made the competition either over reach their skills and drive outside of their ability, or make mistakes driving their car that could be exploited... the rest of course is history - another one bites the dust trying to show off... humph

Price of mods ... over $10,000 and counting.
The look of surprize on an unsuspecting looser's face priceless.
