    fixing that damn rattle

Well, tomorrow I'm replacing both the front and rear cv joints on the driveshaft, as well as the center support bearing. I'm 99% positive it's just the front joint, but with 140k miles, if I'm taking the driveshaft out I might as well do them all.

Dont forget that the rattle could be your front brake pads, thats the problem I have.

I got under the car and rattled the driveshaft. Solid at the rear, rattles right where it goes into the differential in front.
During driving conditions, rattles under moderate-to-heavy acceleration.
Pretty sure it's not the pads.

*edit* btw, a little pad adhesive will stop that rattle

It was definately the front driveshaft CV joint. No grease left at all, cooked to a crisp.

So much nicer to drive now. :)
