    Connecting Sub to factory headunit

    so, i was searching and i could not find any info on whether i could just hook up a sub to my factory wiring ... my brother has an alpine type-r and alpine amp with all wiring and i would like to hook it up in my car cause he is not using it right now... is there a way to hook it up through the factory amp wiring? sorry i am not very good with this haha .. if there is a DIY for this or anyone has an pictures or info can you please let me know ... thanks .... oh, i have the non-bose factory stereo

    This link will take you to the Stereo and Interior part of the sight. Look at the right hand side of the page and scroll down until you see the write-up on the stock amp tap. I have my sub hooked up this way and it works great. Although I let a local guy hook up the high low converter for me because I'm not very good when it comes to wires, and since I'm non Bose is was slightly different.

    The guy I had hook it up has his own little stereo shop so he had them there. I forgot what I paid for labor and parts but it wasn't bad.
