So hard to find trustworthy/skilled mechanic

I am tired of paying a big chunk of my paycheck to these so called "Euro" auto shops for half ass jobs. I am looking for a realiable shop or a mechanic that could work on my car from top to bottom. I only go to the dealers for the oil change, but for installations and upgrades, dealers are not the best place to go to. If you know anyone around your area who can be recommended for the fellow AZers, post it up.

I am located in Detroit area, but the thread is open to any other midwest shops/mechanics.
