MLE TO BRING SEMA SHOWSTOPPER
1,000 HP, WIDEBODY ZR AUTO GALLARDO
Modified Luxury & Exotics magazine will be bringing one of the world’s most extremely modified exotics to SEMA, the ZR Auto Lamborghini Gallardo. Featured on the cover of this month’s issue of MLE, the ZR Auto Lambo looks like a SEMA show car thanks to the IMSA GTV widebody conversion, bright green paint, matching leather interior and paint-matched wheels. But because MLE is all about performance, this car doesn’t just look fast… it goes fast, thanks to a twin-turbo upgrade by Heffner’s Performance.
Heffner’s rebuilt the bottom end of the V-10 engine and added two Garrett GT35-R turbos for a total output of 1,000 hp and 800 ft-lbs of torque on race fuel. And even on regular 91 octane it will still produce 850 hp.
For the November/December issue of MLE we tested the car at the drag strip and the race track and the numbers are impressive, with a zero-60 mph run in 3.1 seconds, a zero-100 mph run in 5.85 seconds and a quarter mile time of just 10 seconds at 145 mph!
And to see just how good this car is, we matched it up against the twin-supercharged 707hp Novitec Rosso F430 Gallardo. Be sure to pick up the November/December issue of Modified Luxury & Exotics on newsstands now to see who won our Epic Battle. Or, if you’re at SEMA, drop by the Source Interlink booth (#22743) to pick up a free copy and see the ZR Auto Gallardo yourself!
