Anyone have tinted tails? Question & request for pics pls.

So I have a black B7... Considering blacking out my car, tinting the windows and tinting the tails. Does anyone here have any options of the best looking way to do so? I already know of Headlight Armor, Lamix-X, and of course the local body shop.

Also, if anyone has pics... please post em up. I don't wanna search, being that i'd like to have a fresh batch of pics.

When I got my windows tinted I had them do the tails to. I think they used 20% film....
~$60 and no worries about fitment, bubbling, or anything because he custom trimmed it...

yes, and possibly more OR less. But how bout those, who have just recently joined AZ and have maybe tinted their tails since and haven't posted pics? Or maybe those who haven't posted pics of their tails/tints in the other threads... now's their chance?

wow, with the trunk lights blacked out so dark, it's amazing how much the b7 rear looks like the b6.

I would recommend doing tints instead of actually smoking your tail lights, because if you no longer want or you get a ticket you can remove them.

tons of people have done lamin-x on the forums, search would be best, but its ok.

tint should would be the second most cost effective, besides ordering the kit...even ebay has the tint films.

matt's tints look very dark, but in person they look good!

i got lamin-x. the color is "smoked" and they come pre-cut. i would recommend these because if you change your mind about them or get a ticket, you can always take them off. If you take it to a shop and have them spray it, its pretty much permanent.

If you get lamin-x, i would recommend you be extremeley careful while trimming it. the film is precut, but it's not a perfect fit. You'll need to use a razor blade to trim it. I ended up fucking up and hitting paint in a few spots.

it would be tint/flim from headlightarmor. lamin-x is the same thing just 2 companies make them.

I personally like the look of the spray tint myself. I'll get pics up tonight, but it's much blacker while still letting as much light through when illuminated, but they look completely black in day time. cost 30 bucks at my tint shop and WILL come off with a paint thinner and some hard work if necessary. Also more of a matte finish if you like that look better.

id b curious if someone tinted just the bottom portion of the tails .. i saw it photoshopped and looked insane ... straights across so it looks like the bottom is all black and the top is red
