so im driving in Laurel tonight an i make a turn and in my rear view see the infamous flashing red and blue (SWEET)

i knew i didnt do anything so i figured he was getting me for something illegal on my car lol. he comes up an btw is already super friendly...

tells me hes pullin me over for my tint and a modified exhaust. hes doing the usual try and be nice even though im gonna write you a bunch of tickets cop routine. hooks up his little tint meter blah blah. well after all that he is standing there explaining whats wrong with it an all the rules and he sets his tint gadgets an paperwork on the roof of my car. lol well i knew i was getting a ticket anyways so i decided to have fun. i try an interupt him an he just talks over me so i get louder and say excuse me can you please take your stuff off of my car... i just had it repainted. LOLOL wooops got the book thrown at me then (definitely worth it to see the look on his face)
he stops talkin does a full circle around the car to try an get me for other stuff then goes back to his car an comes back with 3 tickets an a repair order. lol repair order for tint an exhaust, then a ticket for operating unsafe vehicle on hwy because of tint material, operating unsafe vehicle (told me for the tint which kinda sounds like just tryin to get extra $$ cuz its the same damn thing but) an another for no tint certification sticker on my window! lol

o well i pissed him off an it made me feel better ill get all that shit dropped in court anyways

Here is some advise for all the cop haters (from a cop who is also a tuner and car lover).....we dont become dicks until we are forced to. chances are, if you had just been cool, you may have got off with one ticket or even just a warning. i stop people for tint too, but its usually to try and get into better shit like drugs or DUI's. Me personally, I will not ticket for tint or modification, uless your attitude provokes it. We dont like being screwed with at work, just like everyone else. How mad would you be if someone walked into your job and kicked the mop out of your hands!! (HAHA just kidding). Advise for tint.....if you want to keep it, tell you doctor that sunlight gives you headaches and get a note!! Take your tickets to court and try to plea them down...and from now on, just be cool. Look forward to seeing some nice German machines out there!!!

honestly i've generally had very good experiences with cops. im not a dick to them, just courteous. and i've been rewarded for showing them respect. won't go into details, but let's just say i'll never be a dick to a cop.

And a little respect can go a LOOOOONG way with the police. I got pulled over doing 97MPH in a 55MPH once. He got out, had a few questions for me, I had the answers he wanted to hear and in under 30 seconds he was done, without him even running my license, I just got a verbal warning. "These S cars are fast...but this aint the autobahn..Slow down." And he jumped back in his mustang and off he went. And this is the HOCO POPO, so anyone who knows, they basically make all their money on tickets like the one(or two) I should have gotten. Staking out 29 late at night, waiting for someone to come over that crest doing near triple digit speeds...$$CACHING$$

I guess its just the cop you get. I got pulled over for doing 69 in a 55 when I was just running DP's and I quickly shut the car off when I stopped so he didn't hear it. He didn't even saying anything about there being nothing coming out of the exhaust cutout. I made up some story and got out of it with a warning and it only cost me 25 mins of my life.

I am always nice to cops. ALWAYS. I have gotten out of so many tickets or stupid fines because of it. Always respectful, take the keys out of the ignition, but them on the roof, hands on the steering wheel. If he asks why, tell him that you want to make him feel safe. It really goes a long way. Always say yes sir, no sir.

Ive been pulled over several of times in the past couple of years. I am always 100% courteous and polite no matter what. Like mentioned above respect goes a long way. If you disrespect then you are just asking for a ticket.

In some cases though you just get unlucky and run into the wrong cop and there's nothing you can do. My experience though most cops are very nice. Treat them as you would like to be treated and you will be rewarded.

ditto to all the respect comments... im young, mixed, braided up, and in a luxo car ... usually it's respect, the use of common courtesy, not speeding unless completely in the clear, and a clear police record that help substantially... much respect to all the law enforcement for continuing to go to work day in and day out... not always the easiest thing to do when working in an urban area...

I find cops here to be very nice, even when they're not.

Few years when I still lived in Brazil I ended up looking to the wrong end of a shotgun because my car looked like a drug dealer's they were looking for that night, the dude in front of me, who had a similar car from the same color almost got shot because didn't stop fast enough.
