    OEM B5 S4 wheel manufacturer(s)?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Not sure if this should be posted here, but I tried it in the Wheel & Tire forum with no luck, but does anyone know if the OEM wheels on the B5 S4 were made by Ronal as well as Avus? I have a set of S4 17" with the Audi stamp on them, but they're made by Ronal, not Avus. Possibly due to different production runs with supply contracts given to both German companies (at least I think both companies are German)? Anyone with any insight on this?

Or, were these S4 wheels offered as a limited edition option on later B5 A4s? Thinking of selling the wheels and I don't want to mislead anyone... Thanks for reading.

Hold on... wait a second. Looks like Avus is, indeed a wheel manufacturer/brand in itself (and linked with Enkei):

    http://wheelsperformancecom.stores.y...vuswheels.html

So, could my original question still be possible?

Ronal is the manufacturer of the B5 S4 wheels(and others). Avus is just the style.

Exactly, thank you. Thus, my question... The only reason I ask is because when/if I decide to sell them on this forum, the last thing I want is to be flamed for claiming to sell something that isn't. Sounds like you guys are pretty sure though that all OEM B5 S4 wheels were made by Ronal, so I'll go with that... and will cite this thread if/when I need to!

    Thanks guys.

Dont wanna thread jack but which would fit/be better on stock tires.

    235/40R17 90W

    225/45R17 94W

Edit: and what does the last number mean (ie. 94W)

    W-speed rating

tires.com has a nice explanation of how tires sizes work and what will fit on the stock rim.

I forget how wide stock wheels are but i think 235's might be a bit too wide, maybe not though
