MAgnaflow 16601 good enough for GT71r elim?

Title says it all. Is the magnaflow downpipe back 16601 exhaust good enough for a GT71r elim turbo setup? I need a downpipe back exhaust because I'm a tiptronic.

    Thanks.

Well, I just want to make sure it's not too restrictive compared to Thermals and APR exhausts.

I know because I'm a tip, my biggest bottlenecks will be the downpipe and cat.

If you think it's going to be too restrictive, then buy an eletric cut-out after the downpipe

    That's probably not necessary.

I guess I was just curious to see if anyone was running a magnaflow with a gt71r elim.

i had the same question before i got mt 16601's. Its the same size piping so it should flow just as much as other exhausts.

I don't think the exhaust itself is an issue, but you might want to consider a HFC/TP and a bigger DP to open up that bottleneck.

If you're worried then don't boost as high. I will be running my 71r elim with the stock exhaust for a month or two until I get a full exhaust. I do have a testpipe but I only plan on boosting to 18psi for now.
