got into a stupid argument about MBC and a stock b6 wats the most boost u can squezz safely out of our cars wit just intake and dv cuz this kid said u can do 14 but i said it would put u in limpp wats the safesst to crank upp

you can do around 14-15 but u prob blow your turbo.. i blew mine like that.. i was told the car was tuned and wasnt and was trying to turn the boost up with that..turbo blew withing a few months...then went k04 and got it tuned... no mbc..runs great

with a diode, lemmiwinks, and vag com you run 16-18psi!

yea thats basically like doing a basic tune on your car..but for a ton less money..

My boost gauge spikes up to 17 pretty often and did really well for a while on the unitronics stage 1+ but now I ether have a leak or my DV is F'ed cuz i lost some psi and it doesn't spike as smooth. So i would say "safely" 14-15psi.

You must be getting old seeing that you cant type anymore either.

Highest you can boost on stock chip is 300 mbar higher then what your stock ecu is requesting.

diode+MBC is cheaper but doesn't make nearly as much power as a tuner chip. As for max boost the K03 can handle, I ran 26psi on a custom tuned street chip and 20psi on a custom tuned race chip.

why turn up the boost if u cant get the fuel to push it...thats why i dont beleive in boost controllers unless you are properly tuned for it...Get it flashed and have fun...

I've been hitting 24 psi for 6 years now, depends on temperature, humidity and altitude. 22 psi is more relaible. a higher boost spike doesn't always equate to better numbers though . . . proper quality programming is important . . . get a chip/flash.

The vehicle has sensors and such in place so it can add fuel, to a certain extent. yes a chip will yield slightly more power, but not by much compared to a diode/lemmi combo.
