Rear Wiper on Avant Not Working

I took apart the motor and did the maintenance as stated in the DIY's. I also replaced the relay. It still doesn't work. What next, the wiper stalk/switch?
Anyone have experience?

Do you have power at the motor when switched on? Does the motor work if you feed it voltage directly?

No power at the plug with the switch on. I assume it should be an intermittent signal so I waited a while with the meter on the contacts (outer two) and got nothing. I did not try directly putting voltage to it because I wasn't sure which wires on the plug to use.

Would you not apply power to the same connection points you tested for the presence of voltage?

Not sure how the S4 is wired, but a Bentley book would certainly tell you the pin-outs and what you should see when testing. Without knowing what you are testing it is a b!^@% to troubleshoot.

I finally figured this one out and it was so simple. I was referencing the owners manual for the fuse location which I assumed was the same as the placard on the inside of the fuse holder cover. The manual calls for a vacant spot and the placard calls for a 15A in the same spot. I put one in and viola! I have a rear wiper now. Moral, check all instructions, there may be conflicting info.
