Ran my 3.Slow at the track again this past Friday...

It was the last night of the season and very nice out (50 F) so I figured why not give it another go before the spring. I got to make 4 passes and performance wise my car is stock minus the magnaflow mufflers which I am sure make not difference.

I ran a new best time, barely but still a bit better, my old best was a 15.361 @ 91.22 MPH, new best 15.312 @ 92.11 MPH, almost not worth mentioning but the 60' was worse (2.175) on this run V.S. my old best run (2.113) so I think if I could pull off a 2.000 60' I would get a 15.1 or something like that, its amazing how the smallest things can effect your run. My other times (total of 4 passes) were a 15.3, 15.6 (shit launch), and a 15.5 (bogged launch) but overall pretty consistent and it also tells me my car is still running strong, at least as strong as it was when I ran it 6 mouths ago.

PS: they had a scale there and I weighed my car, 3,620lbs without me in it which was intresting, not sure if this is on the heavy side but I am sure it is since I have a pretty much loaded 3.0, 3,768 lbs with me in it, had about a half tank of gas, spare and all that crap. How much do they say a gallon of gas weighs? And yes I am skinny haha.

I will try to get some pictures up later on, there was a nice viper there.

Gas is roughly 8lbs/gallon. I have a certified public scale here at work and my car (stock USP 1.8t) is 3700 lbs even, with me and a full tank. So that seems about right.

I always thought it was 6lb a gallon....

Nontheless, how much does the car (with a full tank of gas) weight W/O you?

On my 15.312 run my 1/8th time was 9.866 at 71.07 MPH

My best 60' was a 2.113 and that was when I ran my old best time of a 15.361, I would like to get a 2.00 60' which I think is possible.

The Magnaflow Mufflers that I have have a 4" tip and I just have them, no other exhaust work and they sound really nice, deep but no drone on the highway. And I launched around 3k I think, when I tried 4k it bogged but I honestly forget.

Awesome times man, I plan on getting some numbers with my 05 3.0 next year unless I make it down for one of the last open track nights.

Yeah 6 speed man, I have heard of people doing a 1.9XX 60' in their stock 1.8T, so I am sure with practice I can get it down and maybe with that plus a little weight reduction (100 pounds or do) hit a 15.0 flat. I would love to break a 14.9, don't know why, it would just make me happy, but I don't know if its possible stock and I doubt a chip or intake would help at all. Although it would be interested to get a chip and see if would drop me at all, maybe by .1 at best I would guess.
