Damn your good, its a carbonio filter which is even worse as it has gunked up the MAF twice in less then 2K miles one time during a track day, the other time during hard driving.
The car was powerless b4 the MAF got gunked and didn't throw any codes until my track day plugged it visibly shut. When it was on its way out would the car have been in limp mode with a slight hesitation due to the MAF without a CEL? I was leaning to the MAF, looks like ya pretty much confirmed it.
