fuel pump?

Okay my car kinda sputters while in sitting idle right. Now when my fuel level gets to the red mark the car sputters real bad and also recently when i try to turn the car over while the fuel level is low the car wont start and only when the fuel level is low. i have to hold the gas down so the car will start. Could this be fuelpump going bad? help please

Maybe, might start with a fuel filter first... it's alot cheaper.

ive done the fuel filter ive actually done just about everything u can do without totaling changing the engine.

Pull the pump out and clean the pick-up. See if that makes things better.

If the problem persists then get a new pump.
