    What are the must removes in your opinion for weight reduction on the 1/4 mile?
    spare tire, rear seats and everything in the trunk are obvious.
    i'd say no to door cards..too much work.
    passenger seat? is it worth the work?
    glove box? worth it? ->ive heard the glove box is quite heavy in our cars. truth?

    Biggest weight to $ savings is the battery. I realize you mean "stuff to pull @ the track" but the battery weighs like 38-48 lbs iirc. PC 680 Oddessey weighs 15lbs roughly. All front end weight too. Mine is going on 18 months in service now and is holding strong.

    the seats you wont get out without a huge hassle. i used to work at an interior shop and you cant get them out easy at all. the back track is welded to the frame and you cant take it out.....it sucks

    I have an A4 but I'm assuming the seat removal is the same for the S4... I took my front seat out for the track. It's just a matter of two screws and some plugs, way too easy.

    The airbag light will turn on if you don't put a resistor on the unplugged cable.

    Actually you are wrong. The seats are easy to get out. You need the proper triple square tool. You can't get the entire...front seat/rear seat/door cards in and out in about 20 minutes.

    Yeah I was gonna say...that's pretty easy to do...And stock front seats weigh in at about 60lbs or so.

    I wouldn't think it's that heavy, well under 10lbs most likely. There was a list on audiworld a few years ago that a guy compiled of his weight reduction and I think it was several hundred pounds total if I recall. Maybe try a few key word searches on there?

    Re: Weight reduction for the track;

    This summer i did some "weight reduc" on my car.. Spare, Rear seats, rear door cards (dont bother with door cards.. its like 7 pounds, wont gain shit from it), all the sound deadening materials in the trunk, all trunk upholstery and shit like that. The only thing that could possibly help is by taking out the passenger seat (maybe rears), battery, spare... these are very heavy and will make the greatest losses for the least time it takes to replace.

    Your stock rims are heavy as shit I went to ssr gt7 and instant better throttle response.

    Seats are heavy, if you go aftermarket you can save a lot there

    Re: Weight reduction for the track;

    Whats a good leather racing bucket with no compromise in comfort and adjustability? Is there such a thing?

    I need a couple extra inches of headroom while im at it. And I do not like the idea of hacking up the foam in my stock seats.

    Also anyone running that odessy battery and using a non check valved fuel pump like the 044? You have to crank a lot longer to start the car with zero starting fuel pressure.

    ^^ that sounds like a good "mod" not a bad idea to have a set of track tires too.

    No, although "comfort" is all a matter of opinion. The lightest seats you will find don't adjust.
