Checking in: Any Sacramento area/Beale AFB people in here?

Just checking in and seeing what the car scene is like in Sacramento/SF. I'm in the US Air Force and just got an assignment to Beale Air Force Base, so I'll be living in the area for a couple years. A bit about my car... I have a 2003 Ming Blue A4 3.0q 6spd with a few mods and a few in work.

    Currently:
    Stock 2003 sport suspension
    S4 blackout grills
Euro S4 front and rear bumpers
    B7 S4 front brakes/B7 A4 rears
    Carbotech Bobcat pads all around
18x8.5" ABT Sportsline SP0s on General Exclaim UHP rubber
Hotchkis RS4 Race front and rear swaybars
    Thermal cat-back exhaust
Interior swap from crappy tan to clean black
B7 Euro S-Line fabric seats (Temporary)
    S-Line Monster Mats
    RS4 pedal covers
    S4 Carbon fiber beltline trim
    SEM colour-coated dashboard to black
    B7 center console
...and I'm sure I forgot a few things

Parts waiting to go in/on the car:
    Hyperflow intake
    Bi-xenon E-codes
MKII TT-S Flat-bottom multifunction steering wheel with silver stitching and shift knob
    Shift boot with matching stitching
S4 Recaros for the front (waiting to get reupholstered)
Headliner and pillar covers (waiting to get retrimmed in Alcantara)
    Tint for tails
B7 DTM carbon fiber trunk lip spoiler (Needs some work, but I might not use it. Scratched a bit and doesn't fit without custom work)
Another B7 center console (The one in the car is cracked, and one of them is going to be wrapped in leather with stitching to match the seats... and possibly the dashboard )
RS4 Carbon fiber shift surround and rear ashtray (need to pick up an RS4 CF front ashtray to match)
S-Line door blades (Picked up off a car in a breaker's yard here in England, need the front passenger one)

Extra parts, not sure what will go on when:
    17x8" BBS RCs (Original wheels)
    17x7.5" OZ Supertourismos (Winter wheels?)
    18x8" Oettinger REs
    18x8.5" BBS RKIIs
    19x9" ABT Sportsline A27s (Yes, I know I'm a wheel whore)
    ABT Sportsline front lower bumper
Rieger front bumper (the nice one, not the crappy new one)
and a few other bits and pieces.

The car needs some work, as the hood is dented from shopping carts, and the trunk has acquired a few dents lately as well. And the front end has a bit of rock chippage too. I plan on getting a Euro trunklid and then maybe a CF hood. We'll see. And I'm too lazy to post pics up right now. Maybe later.

Haven't even gotten them in the mail yet. All those rims need refurb. I'll probably clean them up, paint them gunmetal, and keep them for winters.

Well... I suppose I could part with OZs after thinking about it. Make me an offer. Then I'll just use the cash to buy another set. I'm so addicted.

I've seen someone on base with a B5.5 Passat on RS4 reps, badgeless grill, and a few other toys. And so far, I don't like it so much here.

    Sandspeed, I will say this:

I lived in Davis for 3 years for school. Sacramento was 15min away for me.

Rather than spending those 15min to head to Sac,I would use it towards going back to the bay area. Sacramento has its hot spots, but the people there are a lil different in comparison to the bay. Plus, it hot as hell, or cold as $hit out in sac. I HATE THAT

Well, that may be true, but I have to be close to the Air Force Base, and I'm not interested in driving over an hour each way every day.

Welcome to Sac, the best place to start for car meets is EuroSunday, on the web at eurosunday.net. It is hot here in the summer, but Sac is a great place to live if you like the ocean or the mountains, were right in the middle. Nightlife downtown is pretty decent, not the glamour of the Bay, but you will find plenty to do. There are lots of car people here, you just have to dig a little deeper than other places in Cali. If you ever need any help with exhaust, let me know, I am always willing to help a fellow car guy and someone serving our country.
