Upgraded to Xenons, drivers headlight is much more dim than the other.

My car had halogens from the factory. I just bought a xenon kit (bulbs, ballasts, and all).

I don't know if its a wiring thing or if one of my ballasts are crap. The passenger side headlight is much more clear and brighter than the drivers side.

    Thoughts? Suggestions?

I have factory hid's and i have the same problem. Passenger side is way brighter. It may be due to the fact that the previous owner was in an accident and damaged the front right side. My right headlight might have been replaced with a newer unit with better optics.

Any one know if there is a difference in optics through out the years? My drivers side is origional (2002) and the passenger side looks like it might have been replaced with a newer one.

if it is an aftermarket HID kit it is probably a faulty bulb/ballast/wiring.

Yes, I'm hoping its the ballast, they are cheap... well so are the bulbs, I am going to switch everything backwards when I get a chance.

If all checks out okay, its most likely the bulb.

I'm not sure how much brighter your pass. side is compared to the driver's side. but if I recall correctly, the porjector on the pass. side is developed to let a little more light out so we can see the "further" side of the road.
