Long story short dropped my oil pan 3 weeks back and installed a new oil pump but could not find an oil pan gasket so oil pan started to leak after the first night parked and i thought you know maybe i really needed it so 3 weeks later ive got the pan of and all that good stuff found an oil pan gasket and originally the pan was leaking from the rear from the two bolt holes and i thought it could of been a rear main but now im kind of thinkng it is. like the picture posted in the red outline im missing that piece of gasket i was wondering if i could rtv the hell out of it neatly but then relized my oil pan gasket fits right over that missing piece like a glove! should i be worried about that the leak wasnt even that bad before...

i highly doubt its your rear main, they don't usually leak on these cars. put some rtv and torque the bolts properly.

A place between here and there

^This. They tend to leak from people actually replacing them. Meaning, don't touch it if it is not leaking.

if you put enough sealant you will be fine. i doubt you want to pull the trans just to replace that. worst case the sealant doesn't work and then you gotta pull the trans eventually anyway. try the sealant route for now.
