check engine help please

hi a check engine light just came up this morning on my 99.5 a4 2.8q and was wondering if anyone living in chicago had a vag to help me see what the codes are and clear them. i live in the goldcoast area near Lasalle and Division but meeting up somewhere else shouldnt be a problem. if anyone could help it would be great.

Do you have an AutoZone or anything like that near you? They usually will scan the car for free (not as detailed as VAG COM) but it will at least give you an idea of what's going on.
