    Re: Need help

Are you really that uncomfortable with doing it yourself?
It's a pretty simple mod. There's a DIY on here. I'm not the most mechanically inclined person myself but doing work yourself is what makes it so fun!

a DV won't get you that sound... you need to rip the whole airbox out and slap on a new intake or cone filter, or get a BOV.

You can get that sound with the Forge 007 or Forge SPLIT-R. But he's right, you'll need an intake to hear it really well.

    Re: Need help

it seems like you're doing everything to get around replacing the dv on making that blowoff sound. the only aftermarket dv i've seen that'll even come close is a go fast bits model. the stealth you can turn on/off - believe me that noise will get on your nerves after a while.

i have a k&n, and not much noise has changed. i will say after having a boosted intake you get a nasty growl when you blip the throttle. a good ineffective mod that makes noise...

if you're uncomfortable, i'd go with fusion's response and talk to mike kondo. very good guy. or see if charlie[audiskatesnow] will help you out. he's a local enthusiast willing to help any of us out.
