    .:|[Blake P's B8 A4 S Line Spectacular]|:.

My car arrived last Saturday (9/25), just before I was getting ready to leave for Orlando on vacation for a week, so I wasn't able to go pick it up before I left. After the longest week vacation in history, I'm finally picking it up tomorrow. Here are the crappy iPhone pics my salesman sent me while I was gone to show me how it turned out. I had them install ceramic tint (35% sides, 20% rear glass) during dealer prep, so my first mod is complete! CF plate frame will be installed and the car will be debadged as soon as I get it home. Rieger trunk lip spoiler is at the body shop being painted now, KW V1's will be installed as soon as they're available (any day now...) and 19" HRE M40's should be installed before year end.

I will coordinate a proper photo shoot with high resolution shots VERY soon, but these will have to do for now...

nice ride. What color is that? Almost looks like avus/monza silver. I'm guessing you didn't choose drive select since you're getting coilovers soon.

khmerguy978: The wait was hell, but I'm sure glad I waited. Do you have the part # for the exhaust tips? I saw it posted over on the AudiWorld forums, so let me know if you need me to dig it up for you. They run just under $100 if I remember right.

whitevdub: What were you expecting them to say? All S Line press photos have clearly shown the "S Line" emblem embossed in the leather.

quattroism25: It's Quartz Gray. Yes, I skipped ADS because it's a pricey option and I'm planning to install coilovers anyway, so a waste of money IMO.

toaster: Agreed. The interior (especially the seats) is what sold me on the S Line package.

2.0T S Line is finally home!

After just over 6 months of waiting (ordered 4/29, delivered 11/3) I am finally the proud owner of a 2009 A4 Quattro Tiptronic Prestige S Line with Nav and rear airbags.

First impression... the car looks incredible, inside and out! When I arrived at the dealership and saw my car sitting on the showroom floor, it was hard to believe the car was actually mine. I couldn't wait to finish up the paperwork and take it home, but of course it seemed to take forever to get everything squared away and wrapped up. To make matters worse, it was pouring outside so my brand new baby was immediately rained on when I drove it out of the showroom.

The best part of the day was obviously the feeling of driving off in my gorgeous brand new car with my beautiful wife in the passenger seat beside me.

The worst part of the day was that the dealership was all out of iPod cables (how do you sell a car with iPod connection and not supply a cable standard?!) so I have to wait until they get them back in stock, but my salesman agreed to give it to me for free because of the delay.

The only real surprise was that the "splitter" area of the S Line front bumper is not black, as it appears in the brochure and most promotional pictures I've seen. It is actually painted body color, which I was surprised to see and I may end up having it painted matte black to match the rear diffuser.

The car handled exceptionally well on my rain soaked 2+ hour drive home in some stop and go traffic, but mostly smooth highway driving. The S Line suspension is nice and firm, but just not low enough for me and will be changed out as soon as KW coilovers are available. The wheels look much better than expected, but will still be swapped for some lightweight HRE's very soon.

I only took a couple of quick pictures before leaving the dealership, but to be honest I was so ready to drive it away that the shots were more of an afterthought. I apologize in advance for the lack of photos, but I will definitely be setting up a proper photo shoot the first chance I get when the weather dries up and I get some time to fully detail the car.

Ya, that looks like a front mount IC. Can you confirm? Car looks awesome, good luck with the Audi dealer in Fresno, I spent a ton of time there for most of my warranty work. Everything got fixed in the end, after 20+ visits.

so the s-line bumper looks similar to the non s-line front. yours has more details than my bland front. car's lookin good. are you enjoying the b&o sound system? that's one of the reasons why i got the prestige. the side assist is pretty awesome too.

i had to wait for the ipod cable also. it took them a week to get it for me. and it was free. i might get a usb cord also.

    Car looks stunning Congrats!!

UK spec cars do have the front splitter,on S Line models, in a darker shade than the car colour.I thought that would have been the same everywhere to give the front a different look from the SE.

Wheels look Hot they are not an option here but are the standard wheels on th RS6.

Wow, that is really pretty. They really have done a good job with the car, and the S-line package makes it look quite sporty.

I agree that the ride height could be lower, but all in all, it's a great looking car.

Now if only they made the S4 just a little bit more aggresive...

Re: 2.0T S Line is finally home!

Sorry for the lack of replies. I picked my car on Monday and headed down to SoCal for the Audi Sportscar Experience an A4 Experience. I've put over 1k miles in my first week and the car just keeps getting better. I washed the car today for the first time and it certainly needed it after a long dirty week of rain, dust, and bug guts. I'll try to take some updated pics soon, but for now I'll answer some of your questions.

meowevil: it was just about $50k OTD.

StephA4: On closer inspection, I do think the front splitter is slightly darker than the body color, but not much.

khmerguy978: The B&O system is great indeed. Side assist, on the other hand, is pretty useless except for giving constant false alarms on my V1.

corstiaanw: I'll take some interior shots soon. Btw, the seats are black leather with black alcantara inserts, not two-tone.

    Gzo17: I believe MSRP was $46.6k.

D's Avant: Yep, FMIC as others have noted. I'll probably go to San Jose for service, unless I'm forced to have work done at the Fresno dealer.

    KarimS3: Yep, 19"

Just a FYI, the K model ipod cables are free with every car built with the Audi Music Interface. The cables do not get billed to the customer but rather to the dealership based on the number of cars they are building with the AMI system. Just wanted to clear that up for you! Congrats on the delivery!

While checking fitment preparing to install the Rieger trunk lip spoiler this weekend, I snapped a couple pics of the rear end to show the diffuser and a preview of what the spoiler will look like. Also, I took some close-ups of the front splitter to show that if there is a difference in paint color, it is EXTREMELY close to Quartz and difficult to notice.
