    Okay. I have searched, so dont get on me about that. I am tired of the crappy speakers in my doors and in the back and want to upgrade them. I know what sizes and such, but I was curious to where you all got your speakers from? I have a 2001 A4 with Symphony - NON-bose. I will probably go with Pioneer as I have experience with them and like the quality. I know there is Crutchfield, but would like to know other options. Thanks all

    Others may shun my opinion on where to purchase, but check out the ebay motors (sub-categoryCar Audio & Electronics). I purchased my subwoofers from there, and when I eventually do the interior speakers I will also purchase from ebay. I have 2 10" MTXs I purchased brand new on ebay for maybe $50 for both, while they retailed for around $75-125 each at Best Buy (can not recall actual price).

    ummm. do you see the thing on your rear drivers side speaker? you know that is the amplifier for both rear speakers and if you replace with after market you will need something to power them?

    yea you are going to need a amp or at least a new deck or they will sound shitty most likely. You want the power to be about to same for the speakers to the amplifier. I got upgraded inifinity 6.5 inch speakers for rear deck and sound pretty good but my front door speaks sound kinda bad and want to replace them, and get a sub.... but yea anyway my speakers rms higher then what my upgraded kenwood is giving them so they COULD sound better.

    amazon.com if you find last years speakers of a brand compare the specs... a lot of time manufacturers just make cosmetic changes and you can get the same speakers as the current ones for like half price

    I just asked where guys. I do know I need an amp and I have not decided which one to go with. But thats not the point of this thread. :)

    if you listed to techno and trance, i recommend getting speakers from reputable seller like amazon, crutchfield, bestbuy so that you can get easy replacement when they are out of commission
